I love the happy eyes expression. Sweet duck birds. Yes they do preen while holding them. one time when Montgomery the Welsh hopped into my lap she started in on my ears and studs then moved to my glasses. It was funny. If you touch our kids from the crop up, they get super shaky. Especially when they are on your lap, getting a sun bath (I just came in from cuddle time. Heehee!).
Do they preen you while they are doing it? The shaking had me worried when they first started it, but they had "happy eyes" and they were super beaky at the same time, so we have narrowed it down to almost like a duck purr.
I love it! The preening with mine gets a little out of control sometimes. I kiss their bills and they sometimes have a habit of going for my lip or nose. Even gave me a nice big spot on my bottom lip once. Its just a love bite though, and I cant be mad at that.I love the happy eyes expression. Sweet duck birds. Oh, definitely not with the lip biting. I have occasions where I hold my finches and they get kissed and once in a while one will bite my lip and it does hurt but I can't blame the little birdie.I love it!
