Nice to see so many Pekin people joining up! I'm enjoying the pics and reading the stories!

My bigger two here are 5 weeks now and 4 weeks on Pipsqueak.

This start of a maybe drake feather is still here....got it at around a month old??? Still anxious to see what becomes of it.

I would like to be added to the group. I just picked up two Pekins off CL yesterday that were free. I am new to the duck world and have only had chickens so far. I have been told these guys are only 3 weeks old but they seem about the size of my full grown chickens.

7alpples - I would say yours would be starting to get their feathers right now....and especially since you asked if they get ratty or funny looking....because yes, they kinda do when the feathers are coming in...

Well, I haven't been on in a while so I'm a little late joining this party.

I have 9 pekins total.

Here's my flock:
Beautiful! How many boy/girls in the mix?

I've been diaper training my 5 1/2 week old Pekin for the last week and half and I'm wondering if anyone cn tell me how long this takes. I have it on him/her for 2-3 hours at the end of every night and all he/she does is put the whole time. When it's time fr changing it's worse than putting it on intiially. I know others out there have succeded in this venture and I'm looking any advice on how to make this a happy experience (if possible) for the both of us.
Thanks
I am hoping DenverDucky comes on here soon as she probably can give you guys all some great pointers! I know when we used duck diapers for a short amount of time, I would reward them with some peas while putting the diaper on. It really helped! Every time they would let me put part of it on, I would give them a few peas. Every time they let me change it, more peas. They start associating the diaper with yummy stuff - lol.
