Starting this morning, Jojo has been making a different noise sorra sounds like a peep, actually it sounds like a honk like geese make, is this normal?

Can you overfeed a duckling? My Willie and Si are about a month old. Willie the biggest one has started to get a bigger area in his chest/keel area. They are on DuMor starter/grower feed. It has 20 % protein. They go outside everyday for an hour or two to forage. Occasionally shredded carrots as a treat. Advice please. First time duck mom and I want them healthy and don't want to do anything wrong.

When their voices change they can sound like a goose at times.

I got my first two eggs today! My pekin is only 16 weeks. I had to share my joy. My friends don't get it.

these are just a bit smaller than an average chicken egg. The brownish one in this pick is from a chicken.

Weeeeeee. I get it. Congratulations. Ducks are fantastic pets.

If it is at least 70 and sunny then they will be fine. Just introduce them slowly if they're used to higher temps. My pekin is two months this week and has most of her feather. She loses most of the baby ones in the pond which helps as well. They should be introduced to water which is natural to them and helps their molting process. I loved when they were fluff balls because either was like hugging cotton balls.

I've been looking to find 18% protein to put my ducks on. At a month old should they still be on crumble or could they be on pellets? Sorry for all the questions. I want to make sure I do this right.

At about 2 weeks I started adding grower pellets to the crumble in increasing amounts so that by 3 weeks they were on the grower pellets.
