Thank you, Miss Lydia!!! I guess I just hadn't hit eBay at the right time. Very long-term seller with only a single negative review. That review showed that the buyer obviously had no idea what they were ordering. I've placed an order for 3 of them. YAY! We're going to have duckweed for our babies within maybe two weeks! YAY!!!

@Amiga , I so much want some clean duckweed. Do you know of a reliable place to get it? I see sellers of it on the Internet but know nothing about them or where they're getting it. It's a native invasive plant here, but there's no way I'm going to go around plucking it out of strange ponds to put in my own. I'd really like to find some that's been cultivated in clean conditions like I'd do with mine if I can get some starter weed. If any of you have some that's clean, I'd be delighted to pay you a very fair price for the duckweed plus shipping.

I wish I could help. I know a fellow in town with a nice pond, and duckweed, so that's my source . . . if I ever get to that project….

No worries, Amiga, and I so much appreciate the response. Miss Lydia just posted something great, and I've already ordered it! It's supposed to be here on Monday, so I should have all the duckweed I want propagating in maybe 2 weeks?

Editing because I realize it said Monday a week, not this Monday. Oh well, not like it's a med I need and have to have right now. Just a wonderful treat that I'm very eager to cultivate so they have an endless supply of clean duckweed.

Then I'll post how it turns out for me. The listing said only 9 available, and I bought 3. That might have meant in that particular cultivation of it. But guess what? Even if this turns out great and this guy isn't selling it anymore, I can send you some of ours and you'll know you're getting it from a clean source!
