Hmmm What are they in the US? I live in Texas, we have so many ducks around our pond its rediculas.. They are having duckling by the hundreds and they perish by the hundreds as well.. So Im trying to save these 2.. What should I do?

We used trampoline frame for the shape, wood 2x4's for framing the door, grey plastic lattic on the front and back, welded wire over the top. The outside fencing is 3 baby yards put together and zip tied to the enclosure

So on Saturday I'm pretty sure I'm getting a gf for JoJo but I feel bad now. The lady is going to meet me so she's picking one out. I told her just make sure she's the right age and friendly. She said no problem, it will be fine, the pekin girl will be good she will have to get used to her new home and not being with her family! And now I feel horrible, I never considered the fact I would be taking away a duck from their family, I guess I assumed I'd only be saving a poor duck and giving her a good life. I'm such a baby when it comes to stuff. Will it be OK?

@DuckLuver99 they look to be Muscovy duckling am I right? I have Muscovy and they are wonderful pets so just keep loving on them and feeding them good food they will repay you with hours of enjoyment. Sounds like snapping turtles and preds are enjoying a feast there.

It will take time for her to get use to her new home and new mate but she'll be fine. If you could have gotten 2 it would be better because they would have something familar , but 1 will be okay too.

Hmm. I thought they looked like baby Mallards. I need to do more research on Muscovy so I at least know one when I see one.
