I believe JoJo's new gf fell through, the woman hasn't answered me in two days. Now I'm back to the Muscovy but my issue with that is she's 2 yrs old and has aslways flown, I think it would be down right mean to clip her wings now.

You've got to be kidding. I just can't believe it. Is this only through email/text, or is is phone calls?

That's a shame . Okay the Muscovy think of it this way you are actually saving her life eventually she will either fly off and get lost or end up in someones back yard with dogs so clipping her one wing is for her own protection. Or wait it out and hope another Pekin comes available. Makes me so upset when people don't follow through on things why would she not at least call you and say she changed her mind? Good grief.

Hello i am new to this forum. I live in maine and i have 8 ducks roughly 4 months old. I recently figured out that 7 are males and my only female is the little mallard. They are starting to all gang up on her and i would like to get advise. Thanks!!

LOL. No offense taken at that at all, but I wanted to let you know I am female. Jade or Gina is fine. The only reason I'm even mentioning this is that I'm not sure you know I'm female. (If it's just not including me in the "ladies" part, that's okay, too. Sometimes I don't include myself in that group.)

That is very dangerous. I would remove her from the group right away, really right away. I'm not sure I've ever heard of that kind of ratio, but I can tell you a lone duck with 7 drakes is not likely to survive for long.

I don't usually do alarm things for people because I try not to be judgmental about what people are doing with their ducks and just give some gentle advice, but please, please get her out of there if you want her to survive. (I mean like tonight, like right now.)

I started seeing some red flags yesterday after I filled their pool. They were trying to mount her and almost drowned her. I have removed both her and the male mallard to a seperate pen. I hope to get ducklings from them some day I got them all as newborns and they were not sexed so I had no way of knowing if they were male or female. I am noticing the pekins getting drake feathers and the 3 chocolates are getting green heads so i assume they are males. Should I try and trade a few males for females?? Im new to this so any advise is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
