Pekin Duck Club!

My pekin ducks are 4 months old and have been free ranging with two roosters since they could start living outside. They follow each other around all day, the roosters keep gard while the ducks sleep. But they also fight and the roosters try to mate with my ducks. Im re-homing my two roosters in a few days and I'm wondering if my pekin ducks are gonna get lonely and not know what to do! Am i just overacting?
I imagine they'll know something is different, but I wouldn't think they'll get lonely since you have two of them. Maybe they'll like the break since the roosters are trying to mate with them.

We got four ducks in spring and ended up with three males and a female ....does anyone know where I could get an adult female near pittsburgh Pa.....

You don't say what breed you're looking for, but there are quite a few ducks in general here-->http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/search/gra?query=ducks.

I'm from around Pittsburgh too. I know of a place in pgh where u can adopt ducks. Great place, as long as you don't want them for meat purposes. Pm me if interested!

LOL your learning... Did you find another female I know you mentioned ya'll were going to a sale?

They had black Muscovy's, beautiful, and they looked kinda rough, like they didn't have a very good life, I wanted them all. But even the farmer didn't know what sex they were. They didn't have much of a red mask so I figured female but they were hatched in the spring so I wasn't sure if it was too early too tell. I didn't want to end up with another male because that would be bad and defeat the whole purpose of getting another duck. I'm trying to go to that hope haven farms this weekend and get another. I still wish I could have took them all! :hit

I know that is why I don't go to things like that. Too heartbreaking. The drakes would be quite a bit larger than females and have more carnuncling by now.
