Pekin Duck Club!

Ours always smell neutral to pleasant. Except the few that land in poop. But the eggs themselves - just fine. Not to worry you but I'll go ahead and think out loud. The ducks don't have some kind of health issue going on, do they? And what do they smell like? I was assuming you meant they smell unpleasant. Maybe it's something they eat.

they only smell when I wash them. The insides are great, but putting the shell under water releases a smell.
They are healthy as can be. No issues that I can see. I have muscovies, a pekin and hybrid 300. The pekin and hybrid run things like a duck mafia!
So everyone looks great and healthy.
I just didn't know how common the wet shell smell was
 
Does anyone have one or two female pekin or jumbo pekin ducks for sale? I really need to some for my lonely drake, thanks!
Have you checked Craigslist or the Buy sell trade thread here on BYC or the re homing thread? Do you have a rescue in your area? might check with them too. Here in NC we have one called Carolina Water fowl rescue and they have ducks etc up for adoption

It took me awhile to find an adult female pekin for my drake but as miss Lydia said rescue shelters. Google it for your area. I found a haven that saves animals from meat factories and such and you can adopt them out. And I searched everywhere for weeks!!!! I
