Pekin Duck Club!

This person may just be used to seeing "jumbo pekins" and are talking about a normal pekin which are a great deal smaller than jumbo pekins. I have a normal pekin and 5 jumbos and the normal pekin (named Carly) is a lot smaller than the jumbos but she looks exactly like them.
Never heard of "jumbos". Is there really a breed like that? Wonder how big their eggs are!! My girl's eggs are big as it is; I can't image any bigger!
I think my girls probably weigh around 5 or 6 lbs. they are almost 1 year old. Not sure, I haven't weighed them. They don't like to be held!

Just looked it up, they are real! Boy do I have a lot to learn about ducks! Still can't image their eggs!

Oh they're huge eggs! Mine weigh about 10-12 lbs. but I have a drake that's 20lbs! My females lay huge eggs, the khakis eggs tiny compared to those!

As you can see, Carly is puny compared to Charm (Jumbo pekin) !

I went out with intentions of catching it but of course it went to the middle of the pond so that was a no go so I decided to sit on the bench for a while. The duck in question has no curled tail feather is dominant and has a throat ear sound that sounds like a bullfrog. The other Swedish quack. I'm thinking maybe I should let it work itself out and I will put an unbreakable mirror in the fencing. I'm grateful for all the help thank you all so much!

I had to seperate my ducks and drakes. Drakes tend to mate with a select few and over mate with the duck/s. One of my Buff ducks got an eye infection from being bred too much and she got an eye infection that started from a wound. Then she fought with one of my Fawn & White Runners and she got the infection also. I had to keep each duck seperated and treated each one for their eye infection. This took 7-8 days of treatment and now they are better and I have put up fencing to seperate ducks from drakes. I put the same breed duck with the same breed drake 1-2 per week to breed and then back to seperation again. They all get free range time seperately, now. Things might change in the spring??? Just thought I would share my experience with you.

Whoa!  So, do you plan to eat the jumbo drake?  That'd be one heck of a roast duck!

Whaaaaa- NOOO! Of course not! DJ is a pet! My first duck ever! He's my baby! I eat. None of my ducks because they're all pets and special to me, but DJ is my darling. Hahaha but yea, he would feed a lot of people

I cleaned and expanded the duck pen today. It is now 6x6, and I'll probably add a ramp for them to get into the chicken pen tomorrow. That will mean six chickens and two ducks with 108 ft.² just inside.
