Lockdown is Three days before the due date, you stop turning them and RAISE that humidity, usually up to about 60-65, what day are you on and what are you hatching?

I just got two Pekin ducks yesterday. First time ive ever owned a duck! They are adorable I can't wait to see their personalities!

We don't know boys/girls yet but they are very sweet and we are new to ducks so this will be exciting!

Question? What is a good duck food for 5 to 6 week old ducks?

I would look at whats in it. Ducks shouldn't have more then 4% calcuim, and protein count should be around 16-18, since a lot of ducks are free ranged, they eat a lot of bugs and worms which already have a high source of protien, to much will cause them to get angel wing.

I went back and the only pic I have that is really noticeable is the one that past, I need to see the Naval and belly area. I can't tell from the backs of the ducks. Did you have a pic that i might have missed that shows the belly area?

OMG, look at her balancing on that little tiny rock. HAHAHAHA It's almost like she's afraid to touch the ground, hahahaha, it's OK duckie to get a little dirty. AHAHAHA OMG, I love it..

Rowena is - in a word - precious. You ought to see her engage the Runners - who are so much taller than she - in earnest conversation.

Her first week here, one day I saw a few Runners standing ten feet from her, eyeing her nervously, standing close together. That little dynamo looked at them and then ran full throttle straight for them. It was like watching a bowling game. The Runners scattered in three directions!!!

She has made friends in the flock, and though she sometimes gets poked at, she does her share of poking. She'll sneak up behind a Runner and goose her in the derriere.

Is there any way to tell at 3 weeks if my pekin is a male or female.

It was just home schooling. Nothing special. I didn't go far. Short trip to front of the house.
