Pekin Duck Club!

yes, especially if their are females to fight over. That said, most times they will probably chug along. I have several drakes here so speaking from my own flock dynamics.
My 2 drakes get along fine alone or with other females. Only time I had a problem was when I was down to one female, nothing major, the bigger drake used to chase the other away. Biggest problem I had with them was when the ducklings came along. They were aggressive towards the mom, dragging her by the neck and picking on the ducklings.

Hello everyone,
I joined this club this spring and have greatly enjoyed reading all your posts!

I have a male Pekin duck that I got from Tractor Supply as a day old duck. I noticed weeks later that there was something wrong with his legs. I treated him with an infant vitamin and vitamin in their water. Nothing helped. The others were soon running over top of him making his legs swell. I brought him in the house to be a house duck at 2 months old. He had been doing well walking around the house as a diapered duck. Until now at 4 months old. His Right leg has swelled and turned not allowing him to walk anymore! I took him to an avian specialist and he has a slipped tendon and needs surery to hold the tendon where it belongs. I don't know what to do. I love him dearly! He has become part of the family in those 2 months.

Does anyone know of a duck rescue that could help him with the cost of surgery? I created a youcaring.com account to accept donations to help. It's going to cost $1600. :(
If anyone is able to help Wobbly and I would greatly appreciate it!
