Pekin Duck Club!

Lefty thinks he is part falcon. He is posing for our duck cam that is in their house.

Awww, he sure is! What a handsome fellow! Also I LOVE that you have a "duck cam", what a wonderful idea! ...Why is he called Lefty? Sounds like there's a fun story behind that. :p

Hi, I have recently gotten newly hatched Peking ducklings. I have 2 and they are now a day old and I would like some tips in raising them correctly, how to keep them happy and if needed stop them from breeding, and one last thing keeping them quiet besides when their sleeping. Thanks I appreciate anything you can tell me. Thx

Welcome!

Here is a good collection of information. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/750869/raising-and-caring-for-ducklings#post_10611711

Stopping them from breeding - making ducklings - is straightforward. Collect eggs, don't let them hatch. Done.

Content ducks do not make much racket, in my experience. So making sure they have what they need - fresh food, fresh water, good bedding, shelter, safety, and company pretty much covers it for us.

Thank you so much and the reason they were noisy is because they didn't sleep because they were cold so I turned the heat lamp up for them.
