So ducklings are messy with their water. I saw some lifted up water platforms but needed something small enough for a brooder, and plastic so I could rinse it.
I found these little trays from walmart. I forgot what the label called them, but they're like microwaveable TV dinner trays in the pan section of walmart.
I also like that the divisions help support the waterer and it doesn't tip.
The trays were I believe $1.30 each, covered in welded wire. These have a lip so the welded wire tucks underneath.
Easy to rinse, some shavings are hard to get out and I'll probably need something bigger with a bigger waterer. But for now it's perfect!
