I have 2 females and 1 male but I have no idea which one is the male. I named them Anna, Lucy and Sgt. Peppers (Hardcore Beatles fan) and since I cant tell them apart I dont know their personalities that well. They look exactly the same its kind of frustrating. Anyone can help me how to tell them apart? Thanks!

they are so cute when they sleep. When mine where that old I couldn't tell unless their was a noticeable difference. Like JoJo is the boy and very quiet. Charlie is loud. Jojo always stretches his neck out, he's very tall. You will notice differences as time goes on. I have no problem telling them apart now

Hey everyone. So i moved my two pekin ducks out into my backyard and they were doing great. They both made it past their first birthday when a racoon decided to find his way into their cage....sadly he took the life of my female pekin. :'( she was the social, sweet one. The good news is that Toby is completely fine, but now he is alone. I'm not sure what to do because I have no idea if he would be good with a duckling or a full grown pekin...I just know he shouldn't be alone this long.

So sorry about your duck. :( I know it's just heartbreaking. When pretty much the exact same thing happened to mine (except it was an unknown predator) my girl was just lost. She kept going broody (is it called broody with ducks?) but her eggs weren't fertile so I bought two baby pekins. She refused to take them. She ended up having nothing to do with them until they were adult size. They are best buddies now. I would probably try adult ducks if I had it to do over.

I hope you can too. It is nice to be able to pet and snuggle your birds. The goslings sound fun with their personalities. Do you mind posting pics for us once in a while? Will they and your ducks forage in close proximity once they are older?
I would love to post pics here if no one minds... This year we will pen them together once they are okay to be around each other. They had a brief introduction through a divider today. No one seems interested really. Which is much better than the 7 week old Pekins hissing like they do to our kitten. It's actually pretty cute! Then once the all come to their first breeding season the pilgrims will be big enough to free range our fenced in back yard and maybe the pasture. We will have to keep them separated during breeding season as we have only one female pekin. The other pekin is a male and so are our goslings. They will probably gang up on her if we keep them together. It will be an interesting year!

So cute and fuzzy and little. As a little older in the bottom pic they are priceless soaking up the sun on your patio.
