Pekin Duck Pipped at day 25

My first ever hatch, I set runner duck eggs and chicken eggs on the same day not knowing any better. With a little creativity, I was able to hatch 4 of 5 chickens on day 21 without having any effect on the duck eggs.

Hey Quackerrs!!


I think I might go ahead and plug that second one in.. see if it holds for a day and then transfer chickens over. If you don't want to do that.. that's fine. Just might have some chickens that got a little too much humidity. This late in the game though.. I think they'll be fine.

ok tiny bator fired up, I am a bit more concerned about the ducks and goose, (expensive purchased eggs that I plan to keep babies) than chicks (free eggs from neighbors chickens, that I have no idea what mixed breed, that I plan to give back to him) I want them all to make it though, if I can do it I will be soooo happy!

update is... nothing has happened yet it has been just over 12 hours since I first noticed external pip. tiny bator is running I just have to get the temp up a tiny bit more then I will move chicks out and raise humidity.

okay cool! I'm at about 12 hours since my first pip too. Not going to worry until Wed. morning.
