Pekin duck seems very very sick after eating

I will try the multi vitamins. we have been giving him feeder fish to try and give him more nutrients as we suspected that may be the cause.
We did just pressure wash and repaint the house, but we used lead test purchased from home depot before scraping all the old chipping paint away. We also did our best to keep all paint chips out of the duck area (I haven't seen any in there)
I'm very sure it is over-eating. Pekins and especially Pekin drakes are known to be unstoppable eating machines. Let him drink as much water as he likes, maybe add a little sugar and salt, it will help him pass the gas. - And don't be near when the gas leaves the duck! :sick

Sounds like you have to feed him in small portions, so that he can drink in between. Ducks can become very sick when they overeat and sometimes they do that entirely voluntarily… See: OMG! I think i killed all my ducks! HELP!

We have been feeding him about 1/4-1/2 cup at a time, watered down. I will try breaking it up into a couple smaller meals and see if that helps. Thanks!

I think miss Lydia would be suggesting B complex

This is a question/ solution..we use baking soda o goats for gas..could that work. Or. We use Simethicone drops for babies for bunnies with digestion issues..that might work

Yes, how is he doing this morning?

and I’d like to clarify, is this only happening after feeding, and he’s normal the rest of the day?
How big are the fish you are giving him? Maybe he swallowed one too quickly and didn’t get it broken up?

I’m grasping also, as it could be so many possibilities.

I think I would also cut the feed into smaller portions, more often throughout the day, and make sure he drinks plenty afterward.
