Pekin ducks

We feed dumor 24% chick feed they told us we could feed it. We are first time duck owners and didn't know anything else. But I just ordered mana pro duck pellet food that's 16%

Purina flock raiser is better but I gave my ducklings what you're feeding last year and it was fine for them but I was raising Indian runners not pekins. Big difference! Apparenlty the flock raiser has the appropriate amoung of niacin in it which is most likely what your problem is and pekins are so much bigger an extra boost will be good for them. I bet your duck will be fine if you get started on the B-complex right away.

We got niacin flush free 500mg we have a waterer 5qt we put 1\4 of tablet in tbere... which is what I read to do. We Also got bobs red mill yeast which we were told was good as well. tractor supply has the complex ??? I just heard today that works well.

The flush free kind will have no benefit to your ducks. Research has shown that their bodies won't absorb the niacin in it. In fact they found it doesn't help humans either.

You need to get him on niacin and B-complex ASAP. You can get it at Tractor Supply. He needs it especially because he's a pekin and his weight will be hard on his little leg bones. You could also get some nutritional yeast and add it to his diet. View attachment 1757286

Give him 1 ml a day of the liquid b complex. This is from TSC if you can get him to take it over something yummy that would be best then you know he is getting full dose. Just enough yummy like peas or dried meal worms so he gets the full 1 ml.
