Pekin hatching problem

@sarkchick My goodness, those goose eggs are huge, they probably cracked the duck eggs when they came out of the gosse and landed on top of the duck eggs, tee hee.... LOOK OUT BELOW!!!
Once in awhile I get a very large duck egg, its a double yolked and I wonder if that hurt the duck coming out??
@Miss Lydia @Lacrystol I am hoping that some of the yellow ducklings are Buff's. I hope they are not all Runners.
I have a Q: Can or do ducks take eggs from other nest? I mean can they literally carry them away to their own nest? b/c my f/w runners; only one I saw was bred by my drake. And all those fertile eggs that they hatched were not their eggs. And the 2 f/w runners claimed that nesting box for themselves in the beginning? does this make sense? what Im asking is how did all those eggs get in their nest? did they let the other ducks lay eggs in it? and maybe i just missed seeing the other ducks lay eggs in the nest? I mean I only saw the f/w in the nest box, does this make sense?
just curious how that happened.
Have a great day ladies. I am getting bussier these days... my ducklings in the house (3) are REQUIRING me to clean their pool/pen EVERY DAY now!! stinky little critters....huh?

Yep they are stinky lil critters. But their cuteness makes up for it.

Yes they will move them from one nest to another and some ducks will even let others lay in their nests.

@Lacrystol . Temp at 99 the whole time. Humidity at 45 days 1-25 and 79 at lockdown. I did spray warm mist in when I opened the bator.
And yes, they were alittle sticky. They even dried with goo around the neck area. I did not notice when hatched. That you for looking into this.
Does it have a fan?

Yep, they get very GREEDY and sharing is not in the books, it's more like I WANT ALL OF THEM...LOL, although it's great when you have TWO of them because when one leaves to go drink or eat, the other one will get the I WANT ALL OF THEM attitude so the eggs are constantly warm.. LOL

@CyndiD. Morning. This is the latest of Pretzel and Oreo, oh and Snickers. Hard to get pic. They think I'm a monster today.

They are growing so fast. Moved them from my bathroom to the workshop. Yes they get stinky fast. The bigger white ducklings got moved to a pen inside the duck/goose coop. They are even bigger that Snickers (the gry & white).

Did find out ( from servpolice and jtn42248 ) that I have a Chinese gander, a Toulouse goose and 2 mixed "ganders". Oh well. Guess I need more geese

BEAUTIFUL DUCKS. Pretzel is so adorable with that crest. So funny that you dont have any crested ducks, did you find out where it came from?
Oreo is also beautiful, I love the light color on her chest. what is she? a blue welsh?
So a goose is a female and a gander is a male? or is it the other way around. You said you were getting rain, we have had sunshine, but its still cold in the mornings and frozen or very frosty grounds. It is nice to be able to get outside again and clean up things. Yes, we have mud also.
We have been going to a lumber yard to get sawdust/shavings and bark to put ontop of all the mud. it is helping and has a strong smell of pine.
We are watching a Nature show on Penguins... it is so adorable and tragic at the same time.

thanks. I see that some ducks will use the same nest. I just wasnt sure if a duck could actually carry an egg away to another nest. very interesting that they can and will do that. amazing.
We are watching a Nature show on Emperior Penguins... amazing, wonderful and tragic all at the same time. Their built in instincts to survice and help each other,
