Pekins???

Do Pekins lay eggs and if so how many do they average for a year? Are they known for flying? Any info on them would be good. Thanks.

My Pekin can only fly in very low, very short spurts. Too bottom heavy!
But boy is she a cutie!

They can't fly very high or very long. Mine get about an inch or two off the ground and go for about 5 feet. My females are laying about 1 egg a day each atm. Now if I could get them to stop digging up the flower beds and laying their eggs there I would be happy.

They sure do lay and I have a ton of eggs in the incubator that are fertile! YAY me!!

My Pekins don't get off the ground but they sure try like heck. LOL
