This is my backyard mix, Speckles (also the grumpy girl in my avatar) that I got this past spring.

Is her colour considered "Pencil laced? Does that automatically make her a Wyandotte cross or is that feather pattern associated with other breeds as well?

I borrowed eggs from a friend this summer and Speckles hatched them. If I keep a rooster (plain Red), could her real babies have her same colouring?

She's a mix. Her color pattern doesn't conform to any breed standard. She might have a laced or penciled variety in her ancestry. There are several breeds breeds with silver penciled varieties including Brahma, Plymouth Rock and Wyandotte.
