Pendulous Crop?

I use the Purina Organic Layer Feed (I've also mixed a small bit of starter feed (same brand) with it). I'm now offering the poultry grit free choice in the coop along with the oyster shells.


What seems to be helping most in shrinking the crop is corn grit. This morning, after feeding Spex a small handful of grits (corn), her crop became a small ball again. She may have eaten some granite grit, however.

They also get acess to pasture as well.

Right now it's kind of old and I'm switching it this week.

This morning I checked on her and her crop has "disappeared" (can't feel it). I now assume that the impaction has passed.

I'll keep on checking her for the next few days to see her progress.
