OH WOW LOVE THIS BIRD!!

Hi guys! Sorry I've been gone for a while. Life here has been super crazy and it's just been one negative thing after another. I'm waiting for my bad karma streak to end, so I can move on. Seriously if it's not one thing, it's another. However, I DO have a positive! LOL!!

MY COOP ARRIVES TOMORROW!! I had to cancel my order with Green Acres (will never order from them again.) apparently my coop is still missing, and they don't know where it's been (it's now 7 weeks since I've ordered it) So I found the owner of Amishcoops.com and I called him friday and he is delivering my coop tomorrow! 9 am! LOL! So needless to say I'm happy. I'm also happy because it's not the A frame that I ordered from Green Acres, it's the quaker style which I'm in LOVE with! So hooray for my babies!

Speaking of babies, Jennise and Cabella are doing great! Cabella is really thriving and starting to feather out nicely. Jennise is a MONSTER! LOL! She's getting HUGE!

They love each other and are best friends!

The polish I got from Sally are doing beautifully! I have one roo (polish) and the 4 other polish are hens. The 3 brahma seem to be hens. Rowan (age 5) named the roo Captain Jack Sparrow, and he happened to find his crowing voice. So needless to say, I have a crowing roo in my house...Good Morning Coral Acres Farm!

I'd like to introduce our newest additions as of yesterday night (which was another horrible night) But we have the three stooges I won from auction

Not sure what breed they are, but I got an insight from the lady at meyers hatchery from the FS today that it partially looks like a swedish mixed with something else...crossing fingers. They are so sweet...skittish, and scared, but sweet.

...and

Holly the Hamster! LOL! Yes, we are going crazy with animals here.. LOL!!

I set 24 eggs due to hatch Jan 23rd. I am actually due to check them tonight for veining. I got them from my friend again. (Thank you to all who wanted to send me eggs, I really appreciate it.) I actually didn't hatch right away after all the remaining babies died. I sanitized the bator and put it away. Then as per Sally's request to make sure I had eggs hatch so that they were ready to lay by summer. LOL! So I got more from my friend.

Blarney was nice enough to lend her hervobator (sp?) to me, so I can try to see if it's just my bator as to why all these eggs are shrink wrapping while in lockdown.

I had a great time today, it was so nice to get out amongst adults and be able to clear my head with stuff that I love! XXOO Just wanted to thank you guys! :)

Blarney....yes chad was making a short joke,,,decided to let that one go....i owe him one...

Littlemisspurdy....cabin is not in penn state it is just on this side of the mountain if you know the area it is milroy exit off of 322 ..we are out in the valley just past the state park....takes us about half an hour to get to penn state from the cabin......thru that out there for anyone in this area who would like to go to ag progress, they could always stay at the cabin instead of being on the road all in one day...

These are from my DD today. Her only comment was that the first one was the champion orp. ( She knows we have orps). Not sure why she took turkey pics but they are nice.'many more pics of cows, but i won't post them:)

..very "do-able"..hahaha

I use oatmeal, not the instant kind ....about 2 inches deep then just throw about 5 little carrots on top every 4 to 5 days, a little more often in the summer when they are more active.
do you "bake" your oatmeal first, just in case there are "extra" buggies you weren't intending on? I hear alot do that... do you do the sifting thing?, sound like alot to go through..always separating...sorry to intrude in on you..
