Good morning all! Had to share for a minute. Looked out my back window and saw a really weird chicken milling around, did a double take, and realized a ring necked pheasant has joined the flock. He's eating, and even resting with them. They look at him every now and then like "who the heck are you"? I can't get a pic, thery're just too far away, but if they get closer, I'm gonna try. So Cool!!
He's gone now, but I'm hoping he'll come back. I think tomorrow I'll purposely spill some more chicken food like I did today. I want to hear him squak , I can't remember what it sounds like, just that its loud.

The wind was so bad that the chicken door got blown open...but none of the birds decided it was worth going out! AND our christmas tree (that yes, I honestly only got out of the house this past weekend) blew from behind the house to practically in the neighbor's yard!my chickens are hating this crazy weather...yesterday 46 degrees...today 26 with very high wind gusts...only 4 are out so far today...the rest have chosen to stay in the coop...is it spring yet?
