nope, not serious, just routine for me......fibruos dysplasia in a weight bearing bone that need to be removed every so often...usually every 8 to 10 years..this will be the 3rd time, so i am getting kind of used to it....and hey after awhile you learn how to run on crutches..

WELCOME!
to all the newbies
Sally sure has been busy...

welcome back Bruce , hope your all better, take ieasy for awhile yet.

Chad, are you interested in expanding your quail operation in a hurry....here's the thing...on feb 12 I have to go see a surgeon, this will put me down for 3 to 4 months... I am gonna try to downsize asmuch as possible, so not to put to much on others.....I will be completely cleaning out the quail pens, breeders and all...I will either just put them in the freezer, or if there's interest anyone here may have them...right now I have about 20 breeders about 5 months....and there's the 6 new year's babies...mixed pen's of color's but mostly cinnamon.
awwww Wing!

Are you going to save some eggs and set them, I guess timing would be off! If you want I can set some if you collect and keep them until you want them back! What about your customers?

Whoot, saying hi to the new people! I'm in southern York county, good to see so much varied activity!

So excited, so i have to share! I follow Brinsea on Facebook and they offered some "demo" incubators at a lower price. First come First serve kinda thing. Brand new, just sitting out for people to look at, minor surface scratches. I got a Brinsea octagon 20 eco. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! I hope to be able to join in on the easter hatch-along. I have never hatched eggs so.... fair warning. I will be asking all kinds of questions! :) Can't wait!:ya

This is exciting! Good luck! Where in York are ya? Ya goin to the fanciers meeting on Tuesday? Maybe I'll see ya! :)

Well, I woke up to a healthy chick and 5 more pips.:jumpy I'm thinking I wrote the wrong date on the calendar? Who knows, but exciting day ahead for me!!:weee

So frickin exciting! Keep me posted! :D

Finally about to name my chickens.... Goin with Ravens names....you know, the Super Bowl champs!!!!! Hens will have offensive players and roosters will have defensive players....any suggestions?!?

I vote Jones! Or pigskin! xD you goin to the mill of whiteford's chick night? Apparently they've neat giveaways ^^

Hi, Ginger!  I'm sorry to hear about your chickens.  I had to sell a lot in August.  Between June and August I went from 200+ birds to 42.  I am back up to about 53 with eggs in the incubator and an order for 20 chicks made.  I am on a mission to cut another project, though.  I can't house 200 birds again.  Not without a new, large pen built!  Harrisburg just called me about my CPT training last week - I sent my form and check in May.  What idiots.

Hello, CJ!  I hope you are doing well!

Hello everyone else... Again!  ;)
Columbia County here!  As my signature says, I have chocolate, black and blue English bred Orps, blue wheaten, splash wheaten and wheaten Ameraucanas, black, blue, mottled and mille fleur bantam Cochins, hatchery quality/mixed blue Swedes and Pekin ducks, Toulouse geese and a single Nigerian Dwarf goat named Nettie.  I am selling the MF bantam Cochin flock and the goat.

I'm sorry, what? ONE Goat? Is that allowed? My Lily was a loner from October 4th until October 9th, LOUDEST 5 days of my life.

Wing, running on crutches?!? As a nurse do I have to tell you how disturbing those words sound together??? LOL hope you have a speedy recovery, and I don't mean speedy in the sense of you running! Take care of yourself!

So, how much space do bantams require compared to LF? Would really like to get some, just trying to figure out how many any where to put them before pitching my idea to DH... Anyone in western Pa going to have any for sale after spring gets here? Would love some frizzle, silkies, Cochin, etc.....
