I will have more detail after the 12th, I just know I need to downsize so I can have others helpingWow, Wing, I hope everything goes well for you! How much are you asking for quail or eggs? Might be able to buy some from you, then send eggs when you can start again.

nope, not serious, just routine for me......fibruos dysplasia in a weight bearing bone that need to be removed every so often...usually every 8 to 10 years..this will be the 3rd time, so i am getting kind of used to it....and hey after awhile you learn how to run on crutches..
Sounds like you got a great deal! Happy you got that and you are in the right place for hatching questions! These folks are awesome! And we all ove the fluffy butt pics! So bragging pics are of course required after the hatch! So excited, so i have to share! I follow Brinsea on Facebook and they offered some "demo" incubators at a lower price. First come First serve kinda thing. Brand new, just sitting out for people to look at, minor surface scratches. I got a Brinsea octagon 20 eco. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! I hope to be able to join in on the easter hatch-along. I have never hatched eggs so.... fair warning. I will be asking all kinds of questions! Can't wait!

Thanks! I am just wondering how old ours may be for POL... let us know when you start getting eggs!Ours were hatched and shipped at the end of September, so they're four and a half months old. I know that they're old enough to start laying soon, but I don't know if they'll start now or if they'll be slightly late starters because of the cold and dark weather...I'm watching for eggs just in case.
The 'posing' is adorable, looks like they are showing off for the camera.... but Bumpkin is absolutely lovable!!! What breed/mix?Hi everyone, had a weird hatch with the barred rocks, EBAY EGGS<<<could this be the problem? anywho...I got 2 healthy ones and 2 iffies, those are the 2 that were hatched with the yoke sac outside there body, and curled toes on one foot, genetic? who know's but heres some pictures of my newbees and week old peeps too,

wing, my sister also gets lesions on her bones which have required numerous surgeries and bone rebuilds over the years.. so I understand what you mean about 'routine to you' so to speak. But really hope you have a speedy recovery and hope you can get out and about quickly afterwards... at least you should be getting into springtime weather for much of your recovery.pretty sure as a nurse I would be your worst nightmare... there's no such thing as ...I can't....always a way around everything..
