I don't know if I mentioned it the other day, but when DH and I were in the Clearfield TSC they only had RIR and JG. When I was about to leave empty handed, he asked if I didn't want some more JG or RIR! He loved the JG. LOL!
 
I went to one of the three 'local' TSCs and I forgot it was Chick Days. Devon (son) broke 2 of my waterers and I wanted to see if they were on sale for $5 yet.... I forgot it was chick days (= chicks) but thought the chick days waterer sale would be on... I never said my mind worked like normal people's.

I walked in, saw Silkies, EEs, PRs and ALs. And about 30 Khaki Campbells. Four magically jumped in a box and came home with me.

Sally: just curious but are you doing the quail for the eggs, meat, breeding....or plain old fun....?
 
Re: PA gettogether... there were PA Chickenstocks 2 & 3 ( or 3&4) years ago in New Tripoli hosted by 19HBelgian ( Steph) and her hubby. Well attended and great time buying and selling. Don't know why they didn't have more but whomever wants to host might want to contact them and find out what works and what doesn't and waht to watch out for. I know they had hatching egg auction to help defray expenses to the hosts.

I went to hers 2yrs ago. It wasn't that bustling because of the rain, but I wasn't there the year before to compare.
