Who hasn't been parked at a highway exit thinking
" no officer, honestly, I'm just waiting for someone to meet me about some chickens!"

"Why no officer, I am not a safety hazard. I am just waiting to meet someone with chick's in a cooler."

"Yes sir, a cooler."

"Doesn't everyone keep their chicks in a cooler?"

"LOL, no sir, it wouldn't be safe to let the girls run around the car. Better to keep them locked up, safe and sound."

"No sir, I have never heard of Ted Bundy."

Def needed that laugh!!

Them thats what I'll do!
Kind of happy. Some of the eggs I have coming in I have horrible luck with. I'll let her give it a shot. If she succeeds, I'll name her (I don't name my chickens, well there are a few roosters named Stu).
I agree with Wings... just let her be and move her later. The only exception to that would be if she is constantly getting harassed by other birds and pushed of the nest. (ours was low girl on pecking order and would get moved by more aggressive older hens, so we moved her, but did it at night, and she was a very cooperative broody)
You may want to mark any 'good' eggs you are giving her, and check every day or so for extras laid by other hens. They other hens in the coop will sometimes do that and you end up with 15 eggs and don't know which are the good ones. Just remove additions daily.
My chick connection just called. She is on her way to meet me here at my office. She has a cooler with approx 22 chicks in it for me.

I know this applies to me.....somehow i think it may apply to most of us on here..

Love the sign!
totally can understand the sleep issue... I work long/odd hours and a nap is sometimes a real life saver, even if it is only 20 minutes!
