Blarneyeggs,
I did just move, and everyone said that I had to dig everything up, it was so beautiful. So I walked around and around pondering what to dig. In the end I took nothing. I could not bring myself to mess up the beauty of it all. I left it for the next family to appreciate. The two things I would have given just about anything to take were two mature trees I had grown from seedlings taken from my grandmothers tree and my husbands granparents tree. A Mimosa, and an American Redbud. Common trees, but irreplaceable. I still get to see them when I drive by though.
I will sound boring when I say the black eyed susan is my favorite, but you can't beat reliable, beautiful, self seeding, and the beauty of a goldfinch hanging from the branch in fall. I have more of my black eyed susans in friends, families, and even the church's yards than I could count. Gotta Love Em.
I do hope to see many BYC'rs at the Green Dragon Also. I'll be looking.
