Yes, I was really suprised. We weren't expecting them until tomorrow.
3 each of SLW, GLW, EE's, light brahmas, BR, BO then 7 Black Australorps and 4 new hampshires. 29 total. Wow, that's alot of chickens! Hope we didn't over do it![]()
Enablers??? What enablers??? LOLIt's been busy around here the last few days, but I wanted to come on here and complain about the enablers on this thread. Thanks to you guys posting chick pics and talking about TSC, I caved. I was doing so well with just ducks! I went in and they had a fresh shipment of bantams. Three were buff bantam Cochins. They came home with me. Then a friend decided he wanted three Amberlinks for eggs. Now he want turkeys. And they need to stay at my place because he lives in town. Tomorrow will be a fun filled day of coop building. Yay! Note the sarcasm.
It's bad enough I have an issue. Chicken math is contagious.
Also, in other news, hubby said yes to peacocks. Oh dear.
That is all.![]()
I'm getting weaker!I sold all the black but 2! But I am pretty sure I have a trio for you and perhaps even a splash roo to boot! we can make a good deal since its you! LOL and how about some silkies too? and maybe some bantam EExaucana or some OEs? LOL
It seemed to take ours forever too, but once they get started they go like gangbusters...most likely in a stage of eggs and very small mealies, you just can't see them, had times in the beginning when I had all beetles then all of a sudden lot's of really small worms.
Good Morning from the northeast corner of the state (Wyoming County)! I am in desperate need of an enabler...I walked out of TSC with no chicks following me home. I must be doing something wrong!
Congrats on the new additions!
Congrats, Nice mix there!Yes, I was really suprised. We weren't expecting them until tomorrow.

I'd love to see that! The pic is priceless!
Friends! Was planning to build a coop myself, but my lack of skills and materials costs are driving me in another direction. Can anyone recommend a good coop for 5 hens? Either locally (southern pa) or online. Didn't want to spend more than 250 if I can help it. I can assemble.
Thank Yew!
