Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I would call a local shed place and ask if they have any used small sheds, we bought a huge shed 10x14 for 400 bucks delivered, and they had one small one for 150 delivered! That way all you do is cut a small run door and add 2x4s for roosts and a few nest bxs. And YOU AND YOUR chickens have more room to move!

I will try that!! I've been checking Craigslist with not much luck but didn't think to call a company directly.

I think this is why you get the big bucks, Sally.

LOL

Yea, it has a section in the back that opens up (90% sure) to grab the eggs straight from the back. They are separate units and they are $100 each. Where are u located?

I will have to check it out! I'm in Hanover. I saw you mention Shrewsbury TSC a few days ago and I thought, "wow! That's only about 30 minutes from me!" : )

Woo Hoo!!! for the first time since ... I don't even know when, my house is chick free!

Ok so, there are 2 dozen Ameracauna eggs in the 'bator but the weather is only going to get warmer so they won't have to be in the house nearly as long!

And then I'm done hatching for a while. I mean it!

I am so very sorry for your loss. It must be so heart breaking to lose so many babies. I am sure that within a few days the wonderful people on this thread can help you fill your home once again. Do not cry! You will soon hear the pitter patter of (many) little feet again!

I hear this often,,,,I have never had a problem, it's been 2 year's since I started these....they are kept in everyday dishpans from the dollar tree, I fill the pan about half full of oatmeal (not the instant), put the worms in with some carrots on top and that's it....they get a handful of baby carrots twice a week, they live in the bottom of the tv shelf behind a closed door......I only mess with them about every 6 months when I try to clean out some of the dried up beetles.
