Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Chad is another hour east of me. I looked...the half way point for you and I would be Bedford, I believe, it's about 2 hours for each of us. I could possibly be persuaded to do it on a weekday...if enough people want chicks/eggs to make the trip worth it. I will most likely have my 2 yo grandson with me....and don't get him till 9 am so noon would probably be the best time to plan to meet.
That works. OK, everybody give me a list of what you want. If you are between me & Missy or want to meet us in Bedford let us know. The rest of you can collect your items from Missy. Chad, whatcha got for me that Missy can bring along...LOL

Anyone want a loud blue cochin rooster, he is terrible crowing right now! WTH! DH says chopping block, not sure if he means it or not!
Send him with Missy when she comes to get birds...LOL

One of the 3 quail I got at the auction. I brought 4 home but 1 didn't make it through the night. I think it got too cold and it wasn't strong enough. The other 3 are running around and looking good. I was told they are 1 week old. Anyone know what breed they are?

Those are Coturnix & look like Pharoah coloring. Should be able to sex them in about a week from chest coloring when feathers start to come in.

I am going through all our serama chicks this weekend, I will be selling the extras as pairs/trios if possible.

We are getting our first eggs from the first batch! YAY!
Cute lil things too!

If anyone is interested please shoot a PM so I know who is interested, birds come from Crazypetlady, Bhep, and a few from Ed.
I am thinking $15-$20 a pair depending on the pair. Get more and get a deal, you know the drill!
ages = 1 month, 2 mo, 3 mo, possible 4, not sure on them yet!
I may even have Frizzle roos as I only need one! But no hens to sell!
If the frizzle is the roo then you don't want frizzle hens too. Let me know how much for the frizzle roo & 2 hens of the widest color range possible. Looks like I'll be making a trip to meet Missy soon. Maybe I can snag them then if you aren't too far.

Time for a "Sally style" post.

The purple eggs belong to my Amish friend up the road so I can't swap them, but I sell them for her & can ship. They have been hatching really well. She has 1-2 hens that lay eggs with a purple tint so would have to collect about a week to get 12. I usually have her only collect 24-48 hours before ship so typically you get 1-3 purples in a batch.
OK, I will let you know when I am ready, I have to check with Rhea to make sure I can use her bator, 1 more time, The eggs I have now will hatch @ the 20th. I am really curious about the purple eggs, Will the chicks that hatch then lay a purple/pink egg? That would be sooo cool!!! I have a paypal, don't us it much but not a problem, wouldn't know what to swap you with, but let me know if there is something you want, I can usually find anything!

Sure wish I remembered when I put eggs under that second broody, and how many!
This is why you must post pictures of your eggs when you set them, we can remind you and also keep track of who has what on the way...
Quote: I would pitch in for a delivery fee....

Quote: will depend on when is trip takes place, I have things hatching for the next week and half or so...........

I keep forgetting to update you. 8 out of 9 Anconas look good and 8 out of 10 Silver Appleyards look good. I candled them last night just to check progress.

I am like 200 posts behind. Can't keep up with the work outside..

So Eli, Wing... You 2 seem to be having some luck with your duck eggs, any tips for me? My Broody hopped off Sara's Ancona eggs, and I really don't want to kill them, they are developing!!
