picking up a fav and silkie hen! and some mararn pullets for friends Gonna be a fun weekend! get the new girls settled, build a hoop coop for them, go to the york show, and build a chicken run! (not to mention all the laundry i have to do) lol Taking off from work early, going to pick up the little and head north!

Beware of the extras she convinces you that you need!

My fiance is laying behind me on the bed getting "goosie kisses" from our 2 toulouse babies hatched a couple days ago

The fav and silkie hen are so cute! all tucked in to the dog crate in the barn for quarentine. The fav hen was NOT happy about the move i guess as she was probably telling me off the whole time i was putting them in. Boy was she loud! Funny though, cause they didn't make a peep the whole way home. Thanks again Beaglady!! Your birds are beautiful!

How did you escape without any extras? You must be strong. I am still thinking of the birds I "should have" gotten!

I'm at work and my wife texted me that our 4 ducks are gone. No feathers, no blood. We have 2 ponds nearby...anyone think they would waddle their way to a nearby pond??? I'm perplexed. My wife said she looked everywhere. Do people steal ducks?

Is it common for young chicks to be sold at poultry shows like the York show?

I know there will be selling outside... It didn't say a age on the sheet.. but I guess for as long as they are healthy I don't see why not! I am looking for a duck

Had a very productive poultry day today! Had a nice chat w/AuntKat and her adorable daughter & she took 3 dozen of my duck eggs! Woohoo! Went to visit another friend & dropped off the 16 chicks that I hatched/brooded for her. Woohoo!
AND...... I had 3 sebbies hatch overnight!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

..And off to the York show tomorrow. Hope to see some of you there!
