Yep thats what my hen did.
Really? Both of you? is there any Benadryll involved here per chance?

Gardeningmama: I googled the Fair, looks like a pretty big one, Cow Chip Throwing and the whole nine yards. I think I'm going to shoot for Saturday the 21st as that's when they are showing the chickens, I'm guessing that we will know for sure what we have as far as roos or hens by then... at least I hope so. Posted my pics on the Orp Thread, so far One person in agreement that the black one I think is a roo, IS a roo.

I DID buy traps for the foxes, so far all it's done is start a problem with one of my kids messing around with it. Dangerous stuff, fox traps. Same kid ate the Desitin when he was little, if it wasn't nailed down or locked up, he was into it. I had poison control on speed dial.

LOL...not my fault Chica went on strike for almost a month! Now she's back to laying normally...I swear, I don't know what possesses them! Do you want me to drop off whatever I've collected this week..or you shutting it back down after this hatch?

so excited. I have mainly had silkies, but starting to delve in to other breeds. Got my first seramas this past weekend and I have polish cooking in the incubator now (today is only day 5). Just hatched a few new silkies, too. This hatching thing could get dangerous....

It is very dangerous. I went from having 1 breed, because that's all I wanted I was telling myself that (Ameraucanas). To now having Blue Andalusians, Silver Laced Wyandottes, LF Cochins, Marans, Naked Necks, Sumatras, Orpingtons, and finally Bantam Cochins. I got all of these in the last 3 months, oh I forgot the Black Australorps!!! Most of them are still chicks. I am loving chicken math! I was always really good at math in school!!!!!

Your flock sounds like mine. Love everyone of them, too!!! My eggs have started rocking around (or whatever you call it)! It's getting exciting. Any ideas what day you start to hear the peeps?

does anyone on here band their chickens so you can tell them apart from the old ones? is so, what kind of band do you use?
i banded with spirals last year, didn't work to well, some came off , now i can't tell those from the parents , now i have a bunch of
young ones coming.

plastic wire ties from the hardware store. use various colors and various legs, even numerous colors on numerous legs. The trick is to actually tag them and keep track of it!
