Quote: Want to laugh again? After getting my chicks yesterday, I was sitting in the Altoona Hoss's. There were several birthdays, and I began wondering ... If I gave 15 new chicks a birthday cake, would they begin attacking it at the bottom, and make it crumble (avalanche!!) down on them, all jump on the top, and run around like demented (sugar high!!) cake toppers, or would I turn my back on them, and then turn around and see them popping out of the cake like a stripper? Think about these images for a few minutes. I am still chuckling about the stripper idea.

After my disastrous last hatch, I had not been holding out much hope for thee guys, But today (day21) I woke up to 3 new silkie babies and one serama! And there are still a few more pips!!! This gives me hope for the few big hatches I have yet to do in the next few weeks!

Bought a box of turkey poults (guessing about 3 to 4 days old) at root's auction tuesday night, does anyone know what breed would normally be sold there.box only said turkey poults...hoping they are broad breasted with being this late in the season,,,I have orders to fill and my hatches in the spring were really bad so I kind of need fast growing.
