My coops are as locked up as they can be. I just hope the trees that surround us and the coops stay up.. they make me more nervous than the storm.

Me too ~ we live on 10 acres of woods, mostly very tall oaks & poplars many which are close enough to hit our coops and house!

I'm in Dover and am heading out to the coop now (early) to lock up before the storms hit.

That is what we have here too. Some very old trees. A few that a couple of years ago got struck by lightning. They are 30 ft. From my coops. Not good....

I live in south western pa and wanna get some chicks. Im looking to get about 6 and they have to be hens. Would like a couple different kinds is there a hatchery around here or is it better just to order from mypetchicken ?
