Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Omg, just figured out what is wrong with my silkie. She has wry neck. Thought she couldn't see with her puff and cheeck puffs covering her eyes. Kept triming them and she would be fine. Today I found her laying in a mud puddle with her head down from wry neck. I thought she was dead. She was so cold and couldn't breathe. I brought her in and tried to blow dry her. She is very weak. I been giving her some yogurt. She is eating it but hasn't opened dher eyes. Tomorrow I am going to get vitamin e and poly-vites. I hope she will be ok. Brownie was looking for her. I hope she will be ok.

WOW, go away for a few days and soooooooo many posts. You guys have been busy, busy, busy!!!

I feel like I could sleep for a week, we drove to MO (meeting point) to drop off our 4yr old to visit with Nanny & Papa in Oklahoma, drove back to PA spent 2 days here, then hubby and I went to NY for 2 days (first time there and WOW that place is insane, i

it), came back to PA for 2 days and then back to MO earlier than planned to pick up the 4yr old - FIL had a sick dog that had to get put down (today

) and they didn't want Kaleb to be there for it.

Now if this rain would go away so we can mow they yard (omg it is SOOO long), weed the gardens and tidy up the fenced in chicken area!!

I get to FINALLY pick up my pullets this Wednesday (hopefully if they get delivered on time) and then my chicken adventure begins!!!!!!

I live in south western pa and wanna get some chicks. Im looking to get about 6 and they have to be hens. Would like a couple different kinds is there a hatchery around here or is it better just to order from mypetchicken ?

I'm sure some members here can help you with your chicken needs. They are very good chicken enablers. :D

I'm still catching up from a weekend away - 5 pages yet to go.

Barbiegirl, I make cold process goats milk soap. Pop on over to Brushwood Farm on Facebook to see a list of what I have on hand.

Kiomey,  I have a ton of feed bags you can have. Enough that maybe we should meet halfway, rather than figure out how to ship them.

My house is 1/2 way!

Hope everyone was safe in the storm....we were stupid and went to the gym. Got there and had to sit in the car for 10 minutes, as you couldn't see the crosswalk! Got our feet soaked in the puddles (running water) on the way in.

Came home to find everyone but the stupid pekins had put themselves to bed. I swear, they are too stupid for their own (or my) good. I have to climb over the fence every night and catch them to put them in the coop! One of these nights I'm not gonna bother.

If you look back about 6 pages or so someone else had the same question and a few folks had chicks available and listed them. Not positive on # of pages back, but it was within past day or so.

If you end up having to order chicks, I usually order from Meyers Hatchery in Ohio. Quick shipping and good prices. My Pet Chicken is just a broker anyway.

Enjoy your freedom while it lasts Houdini! The FENCE commeth.

If this fence doesn't work, DH is going to KILL me.
LOL!!!!! You need to set up a goat cam.... and, of course, narrate it!!!!

I've seen all colors really, it's a kind of woven plastic type bag, if it has images or look like would make a neat bag I'm interested! ^^
I have (hoarded) 2-3 of the colorful purina bags until I switched over to feed mill grains in plain white bags. You are welcome to them!

What do you mean by broker? I thought they hatched their own?
Is MPC bad? I plan to order from them next spring (once I figure out what my current pullets ARE, exactly), so I don't want to mess up :O
I think that adamf4 was considering them because they ship as little as 3 chicks.
