Ok PAers! Tell me where you are and what kind of chickens you raise! I will try to make a sticky for the page.

I am in Central PA (just outside of State College) and I raise (mostly chicks at this point).....

Silkies
Bantam Orpingtons (B/B/S)
Bantam Cochins (MF and Lemon Blue)
Bantam Buff Brahma
Bantam Wyandottes (partridge)
Bantam Langshan
Bantam Ameraucana (B/B/S and Lav)
Bantam Polish

Next spring I will be looking for Bantam Marans, more Bantam Cochins and Tolbunt Polish.

I am hoping this way we can try to find what we are looking for locally.

I'm just outside of Carlisle

I raise:
Sebrights, have gotten a chick from my duo. Will be working on getting more in the spring, probably for sale. These are a bantam only variety, they don't have a full sized counterpart.

Brown Leghorns
BLRW
Speckled Sussex
Americaunna
EE
Delaware
All of those I will have hatching eggs/chicks in the spring

Barred Rocks
Wellsummers (need to get a roo!)
Marans
Buff Orpingtons
Salmon Favorelle
All these I have pullets/hens only

Muscovy Ducks

Outside Clearfield, and I raise;
Jersey Giants
RIR
EE
Columbian Rock Cross
Barred Rock
Plymouth Rock
Golden Buff
Production Red

looking for Welsummers and Marans in the early spring.

1/2 hour north of Harrisburg.

Ameraucanas, mostly splash
Marans - splash, blue copper, black copper and cuckoo
Salmon faverolles
Assorted red sex links, brahma crosses & a couple silkies
Guineas

Black/white muscovy ducks
Blue Swedish ducks
Plus a couple Pekin ducks

Broad breasted bronze turkeys (for the freezer)

We also have (and occasionally breed) English shepherds, who are good all purpose farmdogs. They do predator control, help herd poultry, and can be trained to be safe when left with the birds.
