That one is the only one that is brown. The rest are black and white like a barred rock. Of course you have pullets to go with them! Almost certain it's not Sister's egg, although she should have laid for by now, her eggs were always cream colored, large, and elongated, very nice egg.
Maybe someone here can tell us what color egg a GLW lays,,, I just bought them for their color...

Yes, sorry. That is indeed the ammonia I was referring to. I heard it in my head and then promptly forgot to type it in. But, yes, yes, that's what I meant.OH My Goodness! MM! Thank you for posting this, I had never even considered the ammonia in the feces (I assume this is where the ammonia is coming from in this equation.
I start MOST days cleaning a urine filled area with bleach and Lysol, it has never occurred to me that I was putting myself in danger. So THAT'S where all m brain cells have gone. At least now I know.

It's at Ray in PA's house. First you go past the BCM roos, and the guineas, and the other cool birds , than you get inside and there are the BCM hens w/roo, cochins, the mixed pen, than the young pen with SLW, GLW, cochin and other young pullets and cockerels. It's just really really cool! Thought wth I'll pickup a hen to mix with my girls.Where is this? I wanna go!
