I've got snow out front n mud out back...no green that I see.

BTW I really think Punxsutawney Phil is wrong, have blue birds here, feels kind of early for them.

Agreed!! I see signs of spring also....even seen geese flying north,,course the weather is rather foul in the south...

I agree that Phil is wrong.  I have been seeing possums and rabbits all over the place in the last 3wks.  I know they do not hibernate, but today's roadside carcass made me smile... not to be sick or anything.  The poor dead creature that made me smile was a young skunk!  Yes, they hibernate!  Of course, the geese and the blue birds and blah, blah, blah... SKUNK!  WHOOT!

Okay, back to your less demented programing.

Buckeye Chuck says SPRING IS ON THE WAY!!!
Heather that hen is gorgeous. And 9? Does she lay at all?

So now it's snowing. Again. I would complain, except DH is doing enough of that for both of us. It's better than mud.

I preferred the mud. At leadt my car made it up the driveway. Now everything refroze & has a thin layer of snow. I went out to the store & got stuck coming back up the driveway. Now the car is sitting at the bottom of the lovely ice schute & I had to walk up.

pssss  we prefer to pack the snow as solid as a rock as possible to deter anyone from visiting

not funny !!! I had to put my glasses on to read that.

I had to zoom the screen on my cell...lol

I did not think we were suppose to get this much snow! I also have an incubator running. I hope we don't lose power.

To those with incubators running... maybe place soda bottles with warm water (heated to temp of Bator) in them into the Bator to act as 'heat retainers'... even if the electric does go out, the bottles have enough mass they should retain heat for at least a few hours if you keep the incubator in a draft free room and cover it with blankets to reduce heat loss.

If the electric outage looks like it may be a long time and you have no access to another source of electric you may be able to heat water on the stove and fill soda bottles and tuck them around the incubator under the blankets to act like good old fashioned hot water bottles. It isn't a perfect solution, but may help reduce drastic temp changes.

Meet Sasha. She loves to cuddle, but as you can see, even at 10 weeks old she's already way too big to be a lap dog...lol
She is a cutey!
Ad for free husky mix pups. The momma turned out to be a blue-eyed husky mix on the small side (about 35 lbs). Apparently daddy was something much bigger. We're thinking rottie. She's huge but has the husky under coat. No flip to the tail though.

The best dog I ever had (apologies to my current wonderful dogs...) was a husky mix. She was 3/4 husky and 1/4 border collie. That dog was my constant companion for 15 years and I still miss her every day. I hope your little girl turns out as good for you. In my experience husky mixes are intensely loyal and want to please you and be at your side.
