Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Well, broody flu in full swing here... confirmed 4... and 2 more with plucked chests and sitting in nests still at bedtime check, though I won't diagnose them with broody flu for sure till they sit for a few more days.

One hatched, 2 on eggs, 1 getting eggs on Saturday, though she may now be sharing with #5 and #6 depending on how they act.
Apparently they feel our coop should be repopulating central Pa?!?!

And the thing is... these hens are all under 1 yr old... in fact, 5 of the 6 were hatched 5/13, Rosie was 3/13...
I really hope my regular broodies wait another couple of months to drop!!

Bess and Connie in their broody corner...
Rosie and her brood in another corner...
And a few more baby pics for cuteness overload...

Speaking of ducks, my new pastel call drake & his silver hen travel companion are shipping out tomorrow. Not sure if they will arrive Wed or Thurs.
Hope they have a safe trip!

We were thinking of bunnies this year too. If you are looking for a nice hutch, get the book,
" How To Build Pet Housing" EZ Bild series. Great plans with measured drawings and supply lists.
Yes, the hutch looks familiar, huh? It looks like the same one Chick N Hutch is selling.
In fact, the author says anyone can use any of the plans to start a business.
Best,
Karen in icy Ligonier

I have a duck that may be trying to go broody. About 75% of the time we go in the coop she's in the same spot in the 1 nest, but never sitting on eggs. Not sure if she just likes it cuz it's warm there or if she's wanting to set eggs.

She's letting me do the experiments with rabbits first, LOL.
I got two pregnant does and a Buck a couple weeks ago to start. I'm doing it in stacked cages. I'll update if anyone else is interested.
