I have an egg tracker on my phone that I've been using lol. The app is called poultry pal. It needs some updates and everything but you can create a profile for each of your birds and track your egg profess daily. You can put in how many you got and your biggest and smallest. Stuff like that. I like it :) everything Cloud has been laying is only like 4-5 cm long and about 1 Oz so far (not counting that whopper of a first egg double yolker lol)

Is anybody else as bad as me with time management, it is hard to believe that anything gets food or water....it gets worse towards the end of the week, when I am also tired,, I just gave the quail a scoopof rabbit pellet and only nnotices when I walked back thru and they were chattering at me...

Someday I will have just enough time for everything.

They are cute little buggers..never saw one so white..all the other Marans-chicks I ever had where like #1 chick..looked like little penguins...

Here is Ginger..she is still broody..I have done everything...and I mean everything to try and get this bird back to her old-laying self again, but it just isn't happening. She isn't getting eggs or chicks cause I am still trying to figure out what i am doing with the two I have now...so, If anyone has any suggestions..I am ALL ears!! ....omg, DH just said.."soup"....

jam and pancake syrup when I find some time. Ice cream sounds great and some will get mixes into smoothies eventually lol
wine is an awesome idea. We're not good at making it yet though but we can try!

Funny thing is, it only filled 4 gallon ziplock bags so we're going to go pick at least another 20 lbs soon lol. I want them to last the whole way until next season

so I got excited tonight. I was REALLY late scraping off the poop boards tonight, like 7 pm late lol. I lost track of time and didn't realize how late it was. Well, while I was in there, as everyone was putting themselves to bed, Lily and Daffodil each hopped in a nest box and tried it on for size. Didn't lay anything but they were checking them out. 10 minutes before that, I heard the egg song, loud and clear from the coop before I went in so I have no clue who was singing it but still. It would be so awesome if those two started laying before the weekend too. My brother and his girlfriend are coming home from Chicago to visit and staying with us. I'd love to make them a "home grown" egg breakfast. We only have 3 little pullet eggs in the fridge at the moment.

Hi friends..I am in Felton PA in York County and have quite a few chickens for sale if anyone is looking.
I have:
6 White Leghorns--18 weeks
3 Black Austrolorps--21 weeks
4 Dominiques--1 1/2 to 2 years old
1 Buff Orpington-21 weeks
2 Easter Eggers-21 weeks
2 Golden Comets (one of these girls has vent gleet right now)--18 weeks
2 Barred Rocks--21 weeks

These are all hens.

Then I have 5 straight run chickens that are 8/9 weeks old:
1 Dominique
4 Rhode Island Reds

And 10-15 Barnyard Mix Babies that are about 5/6 weeks old.

They are all very friendly and used to being handled by adults and children and all get along with each other well. My husband and I have decided that we have enjoyed raising chickens so much that we are majorly downsizing into an RV to save up to buy our own piece of land so I can have as many chickens as I want :) Unfortunately, that means giving up this group of babies so we can meet our chicken raising goals!

I would love to know that these chickens went somewhere that they would be appreciated and well cared for..it breaks my heart a little to get rid of them but I know that it is helping us get closer to where we want to be.

Need and opinion, my junior roo, about 15 weeks, covered my outcast orp yesterday and covered my dork mix today(she is two weeks older)....well the question is, does junior roo think my dork mix is near laying an egg and wanted to cover her....or is he just being a rooster?

Usually they're just being roosters...
