Yes. As Blarney knows, I have reason to bless the doctors at Hershey med.

Sitting at the Harrisburg airport. Daughter's plane was delayed over 2 hours. Sigh.

In chicken news, the girls are going in the coop every night. Since they have a completely enclosed run I am not shutting the door so they can come out as early as they want. I am not a morning person.

Thank you for the well wishes, Dad is already home but very limited. Bless the docs at Hershey Med!

I used to drive 120 miles a day back and forth to Camp Hill for work so 2 hours isn't so bad. It takes me almost an hour just to get to my parents and I try to visit with my little one once a week!

Also, got my own biopsy results back today and thankfully, they were NEGATIVE!

I would buy them..... but you live 6 hours away...... But if you happen to be in western pa I'll buy em. Just wondering how much. There is a person about 45 min away from me in NY that sell them for 6 dollars a piece... AS CHICKS. That seemed like a lot to me and a long drive.

I may be interested. Wasn't quite ready for any yet, bit I'm sure I can find somewhere to put them. Let me know what he has. Location wise, I'm about twenty minutes from Hershey med.

My quail pens are full of confused broodies right now, didn't know what else to do with them, silly birds.

Fisherlady you would hate the management at my job, it is quite normal to be told at nine at night that we are not leaving on time, quite often it is more like 3 am...but waiting till the end of the shift and even then we had to go ask what was going on,,,, that pushed to far.... needless to say, I am job hunting for anything, will even take part time right now, just to get out...

New management in the last 2 years, it is a shame, I have 18 years invested in that job..but can not work like that,

The store you avoid is normally looking for help. 15% employee discount,, iirc. :)

I don't know the specific breeds but I know there are no bobwhites.
Then they are almost guaranteed to be coturnix, the Japanese quail. They come in various color varieties, like chickens (but not nearly as diverse), but all are treated the same. For meat or egg purposes, people generally get one of 2 varieties that are somewhat larger, the Jumbo (normal brown color) or Texas A&M (white). The other varieties are smaller and lay smaller eggs, but still edible of course.

It seems like a perfect match to get your Dad's birds to CC while he is convalescing. Once your Dad is better, you should offer to get some back for him. I think having animals to care for can be a very good thing for mental recovery.

Ray! Enable much?

Wing, I think the worst part of being treated that way is the disrespect. You put all the time into a company, you want to be treated in a manner that reflects the sacrifice and time you've put in. To be treated any other way is just not okay. I hope if you do move on that you find a place that treats you right, and if you stay I hope you find a way to defend yourself from such calusness. Is there anyone in human resources maybe that could be persuaded into making sure situations like that don't happen?

I hope you made it home okay. I've been worried about all the people traveling today in this weather. I clipped a deer last night coming home from 4H, I haven't looked at the car yet. DS is taking a drivers ed course and told me 'great job, Mom!, but uh, could you maybe have avoided it all together if you had your high beams on?' Teenagers! They know everything.

Good Morning folks:

Wing:

Sorry to hear you work for a bunch of jerks...I agree with B., talk to your HR person....(and a 15% discount sounds pretty good!)....

For B., LB, and Hendricks...hope all the 'medical' stuff works out...

well, the rain arrived early here, already pretty muddy and I still have to haul a bunch of firewood inside....Hope everyone's travel plans work out...its gonna get messy later today....

It's snowing pretty good here. Already have one inch of snow. Let out my layer girls today and the rooster came out and looked at the snow and looked at me and looked at the snow and looked at me like it was my fault that stuff was there lmao. My silkies refused to come out of the coop. It's going to be a long winter.
