glad to hear you are getting more room to grow...Had the realtor come to look at the house today to see what they think it would sell for and what needs to be done. They did recommend rehoming the chickens if I could. So I called the friendly lady who took my Roo and I asked (or begged sorta) if she would take my girls for a few months until we had our new place. Of course I would pay her to take care of them. She said YES! I'm so happy because it means probably a better sale of our home and I still get my girls back!![]()
Chicken people are awesome people!
(Edited: rehoming not revoking) lol

x's 2 on the nice weather and chick play...it is fun watching them sun themselves. First time we saw that we thought something was wrong...one by they just started laying down and rolling onto their sides..all relaxed...then we realized..geesh, their just soaking up the raysLisa:
As soon as the weather permits, I get the chicks outside in a 'playpen'...that way they are 'in the dirt scratching' and they get to meet the flock and are still protected....I've had older girls take the young ones under their protection and had the main roo take a baby boy under his wing on the roost...and the boys will always want to take care of the girls....

your not alone, I was going to go upstairs to start the day 2 hours ago...still sitting here, butt cemented to couch, face in front of computer & tv....i have however cleaned the coop & tended to the dogs..so in my defense, i have accomplished something..oh and i have 3+ cups of coffee in me & it doesn't seem to be doing muchI can not get my butt in gear today. Got a list a mile long and can't seem to figure out what to do first, or next, or at all. Perhaps a cup of coffee will help get this show on the road.
