Here are pics of the Bantam Cochin babies. I think the white one may be a Roo. Any guesses? Mama is a bantam Cochin too, for reference.

Congrats on the hatch!...12/12 is amazing!....maybe you have some good genetics going.....

I love seeing everyones pictures and reading all the great info.
I don't get on as much as I like and sometimes have a hard time knowing what to say. I am working on being more social and this page is really helping.
Also I have an update on my coop. Little bit more to do here are updated pics. My now wondering how to insulate after reading thru the last 4 pages.

WLR:

No insulation necessary...just a couple of more chooks,,,,,my two cents....

I don't have any extra right now but will chicken train any from my travels to you from other forum members. I'm in Lycoming County also and wander about the state frequently. Mostly the central and south east regions.

There is a ton of new spider webs in my yard too. I keep finding new ones with my face lol

YUCK! I have a horrible fear of spiders and especially their webs. When I was little I walked right through a big, round, perfectly formed Web. It stuck all through my hair and face and all I can remember was screaming and my mom trying to get it off of me. Since that day, just the sight of those webs gives me chills and I take the long way to avoid them. Running into a Web practically sends me into a panic attack!

I am short (4 foot 11 3/4 inches tall) my hubby is 6 foot 2 inches tall. I walk out of the house first and I manage to miss the spider webs. Hubby gets stuck in the spider webs. He curses me for being so short.

As far as the whole spider webs thing goes what I want to know is this. How do they get the ones to hang out in mid air with no supports anywhere? Like I'll be walking down my sidewalk to the garage with nothing but grass around me and every now and then I'll still catch one in the face.

How does this happen? Do I have special spiders or something that I should be trying to market and sell around the world?
