We got home from an overnight trip this morning, and found All 5 eggs hatched!!!! 4 look like this little one, and one is all black. Momma is all fluffed up and funny to watch with them

WAY too sweet! I have no chicks.

I caught and treated with Ivermectin, over 150 birds this morning, and moved about 60 more to new housing. Most are much happier in their new digs (it was a downgrade for some to move off pasture into permanent coops). I'm tired.

150?! GoodNESS! I usually wait until night and then treat mine on the roost, I sustain way less injuries that way.

I know I'm being a thread hog, but haven't been on much and need to get it out of my system.

I try to get them in the fridge within the same day...never EVER happens that way, but that is my goal. So when they over fill the sink and counter, I get them sorted out and give them away.

Are you talking about eggs? If so I collect eggs as they are laid as I like to be outside so I always am outside so I just grab the eggs when I can. And then they get washed and air dryed later that day before I go to bed dated and put in the carton in the fridge and then once the carton is filled it goes out to my mini fridge where they are stored until they are sold

I swear, my lavender ameraucanas are tormenting me! I was so excited to get my first egg from them about a week and a half ago (which is on day 4 in the bator and developing nicely) but I haven't gotten a single egg since. I'm only collecting eggs for another week or two. Maybe they'll give me a few more before I release them back out with the rest of the flock.

I think I passed crazy about 700 miles ago!

I worked Sunday, got home at 0720 yesterday morning, drove to Maryland (eastern shore of bay) to look at a boat and work again at 0700 today. Off tomorrow and another 24 on Thursday to finish my 72 hour Week.

I'm sorry. I think the chicks you got from me were carriers of the "crazy chicken person" virus. Anyone know if there is a cure? I suppose if some had been cured they might stop hanging around this thread so we'd never know.

Yes! The cure is more chickens! e
