Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Going to photo bomb a bit. Other then waiting on birds to hatch I have had other things going well. My goats are doing amazing and are all settled in. Yoda still doesn't love the dogs but he's getting there...

Our first spring on new property is turning out great. The land has about a million wild roses back on trails as well as raspberry, blackberry, and Apples. It is going to be beautiful. Hubby is making a campsite/stargazing area back along creek that we've started using.

What adorable pictures! You live in Erie correct? There isn't a lot of land around here, you got lucky! I rent on about 25 acres but can only use maybe 1 acre. The property is in the family and will hopefully be passed down to us someday.

That's so exciting! How long have they been sitting on fertile eggs?

One has been on for about two weeks. Shes hiding in a building and made a nest in goats hay... she is identical to the girl that hatched out the baby I lost and should have some frizzled. So I'm hoping it goes well. Also have Cleo that has the missing toes sitting one eggs from @Auroradream26 because I was worried about any genetic issues from her offspring for almost a week now I think. I had another with eggs from her and some of her own but I think she gave up on them. I really need to get an incubator so I could have taken them in.

Thanks! I thought she was an LA, but I don't care so much as long as they are healthy.

My Silkie girl is still holding on. I put her in a basket in the shed so she could pass away peacefully, but this morning, she was standing up in the basket when I opened the doors. She had still thrown up, and it was clear, white streaked, and even some green. She does feel very thin, I think she probably has cancer or something like that. I have her isolated and out of the rain. She did try to drink a lot this morning, but I don't know if she can keep it down. I will check on her periodically today since I will be home.

I'm actually out in Wattsburg. Kinda in same boat. Were renting but hopefully in the near future we'll buy it. Only problem is the house is a trailer I'll have to replace some day but the property is so amazing I don't even care. Its so nice having the creek running through yard!

Here's our backyard, which is mostly just what we are allowed to use. Started the 20x30 garden yesterday and snapped that picture. Chickens are in a coop under the deck. Hoping to upgrade to a bigger coop next year.

Since I have a TON of turkey and duck eggs laying around, I decided to bake a bunch of stuff and freeze it for later. So far, I've done a quadruple batch of chocolate chip cookies, 2 pound cakes, and 2 loaves of banana bread. I overcooked one of the pounds cakes so we're eating that one lol. Next up is a big batch of peanut butter cookies, followed by snickerdoodles I think. I will need to do some brownies too sometime. There are still 33 eggs to use up lol.

Broody update: Ana has decided that the other girls are totally unworthy and that nobody can compare to her in her ability to raise babies. She has stolen ALL of them! She has 7 little ones following her all over the coop. Angel is interested in helping but Ana won't let her. What a crazy mama!

Wild turkey egg update: lockdown started today. I saw it still wiggling in there, I just hope that it's strong enough to hatch!

2 extra roos have recieved a pardon and are heading to a new home today. I've been bugging hubby to help me get them butchered for a week or so now, we've just been busy. So they get to move on to a new home now instead. That leaves only 3 for us to do now, unless someone decides they want some Ayam cemani culls...

7 so far! Two black, two white/yellow, two white with brown and black and one that looks alot like a little Oliver... not sure what to expect from a her and a RIR. Think we're going to grow these all out and see what we got. They are all her eggs so the mix kinda surprised me but I don't know what her parents were either or Zappas. 7 eggs left in nest.. waiting to see what else we might get.
