Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I love picking my birds for show. Fun to sit and observe them. No trimming of feathers on show birds, right? Judges tend to frown on that.

Nope no trimming on those feathers! Already found that out beforehand thankfully. Next on my list is to get my Standard of Perfection, membership with the APA, and then legbands (and then the testing after that). I hope I'm not missing anything, ugh it seems like it's quite the process... I'm just not too sure if I should get my birds tested or not. Cause my oldest are going to be 4 months old on the 28th, but my youngest aren't going to hit that mark until October.

Hey @FluffyButt789 ! I'll ask around for you. I don't really know where most of them live but I can definitely ask. Oh and the FF feed takes about 3 days. Have you ever been to the Waterford flea market on Sunday mornings? It 10 dollars for a table and the place is packed. Its at the drive in movie theater. It might be worth looking in too.

Okay thank you! Finally had a family member buy 3 dozen eggs but definitely need more customers. Maybe I'll make a sign at the end of my driveway. :)

I can't wait till I have more experience. Ive read about every sickness there is but its so hard to know whats actually wrong. I have a girl thats molting and I think has vent gleak? She wont stand really but eats and drinks and is very alert. When I Gave her a bath she had white stuff leaking from her butt. I don't think shes egg bound but I haven't had one that was egg bound so I'm not completely sure what I'm looking for. Her crop was completely empty this morning. Was planning on worming everyone this month but I have no evidence of them. Gave her a bath, some nutridrench, scrambled eggs and acv in her water. Going to get some stuff I read helps tomorrow. I have her in house right now in a cage. Been at work all night but hoping she looks better then before I left.

@Auroradream26 How did your hatch turn out?

I have 6 healthy babies. Of 13, 1 was clear, 3 were early quitters, 2 eggs that I gave my duck were destroyed (won't be doing that again), 7 hatched but 1 died after hatch. 2 of the 6 have white toes so they'll be sold. So I have 4 hopefuls lol.

ETA: I got your check yesterday, thank you!

Ayam Cemani babies! One of the ones with white toes has 1 little white feather. Not sure what that is all about. Gotta start somewhere with breeding though, and always work to improve :)

Wing here... Happy to say after many years of not being able to have farm guests due to the shared family living situation. We have finally bought our own place... we are headed north... pm me and I will give the new address...I expect to see Fisherlady at my doorstep.. No animals at this time due to the move but will need to restock in the spring.
