I got my BCM from beaglady (whom is not showing up as a member anymore. @fisherlady Have you heard from her?). They gave me lots of eggs. See?!

My friend had bad luck with Marans as well. I might try a Wellbar or Penedesenca from Dennis--but right now my Welsummer I got from Dennis is laying a nice dark dark brown egg a day for me~!

Come get some of these Penedescas. I'm not planning to hatch anymore because I have a lot growing out. The oldest were hatched 1/12. Only $10 ea for people here. Definite pullets, they sex easily at about 4 weeks.

Oh dear, they are calling for 10-14” for my area. I hope they are wrong! I’m still sick and I probably won’t have the energy to keep shoveling my girls a path.

So glad we have a generator and a fireplace.

If they have food and water they will be fine 'roughing it' for a couple of days...give yourself a break. You won't be of much good to them if you get sicker. Take a short break now or risk an even longer interruption later.

I hear ya. Enough of this nasty weather. I get my energy from the sun. These dreary days wear me down. Blah
