Good grief, am I dead yet?

I have the flu (thanks to my B-I-L and his wife). DH is on the road, and I am here dying all alone. It is great except for the mountain of dishes left from Thanksgiving dinner, Dh's dog peeing on the carpet because I cannot make it to the door to let him out, and the *%@&ing waterers froze last night. I am so dizzy, and sick to my stomach! PLEASE! Someone kill me!
Yes, Sally. I know you are dying too. I am sorry. Sooooooooooo sorry!
The hunters keep shooting (at what IDK) so the hens aren't laying much. Even the dog is spending the day in a ball at my side (when he is not PEEING ON MY FLOOR!!!!)
DH will be home tomorrow. He will not be much help, but he can clean the carpets, and deal with the other problems. I should be better before he leaves.... Or I will call him off work.

Oh my! You poor thing!

I wanna come by and water n feed your chooks! Take it easy and watch a movie.

My Blue Orpington rooster is growing big fast!  I am finally starting to be able to decide which 2012 roosters are staying and who is going.  I have 4 Blacks, 4 Blue, and 2 Splash to choose between.  I am trying to get below 75 also.  My Silver Laced Wyandotte hens are molting, so I am not getting any eggs from them.  Is it Spring yet, I wanna hatch a lot of chicks!  I am doing small hatches right now, I can't stop completely...............................

Heather I would love to talk breeding strategies with you. I've got 4 black and 1 blue Cockerels.

I really want to keep my blue and maybe one young black as back-up, as I LOVE blues. How much do you let size play into your culls?

Dinner was great! Thankfully, we were eating at Mom & Dad's house and Mom was cooking the bird.....because my oven died. So much for the roasted sweet potatoes! I got white and purple sweets at the farmers' market, along with rainbow carrots, and green and purple cauliflower. Thought it would make vegetables more interesting to kids. Worked for most, except the purple cauliflower....not.very popular. So now, any way, I know what I'm getting for Christmas! A new stove!

Arrrrgh! Why must these huge expenses always come up during the holidays.

I find that deciding which ones to keep is one of the hardest things!! I jus did that with 5 cochin roos. I just could not decide!! I kept two (for 3 pullets...) and RoPo has the rest, just in case :)
