Hi all! I found a tidy litter container of oyster shell in my duck shed that I'm not going to be using. It was the big bag from TSC that I bought this summer. It is free if anybody wants it! I thought I'd post here before craigslist. I'm in Lebanon, near Mt Gretna.

Boy, that is a long one.
This is a video of how agile a hawk is.

I swear I may never free range.

Mama, I so appreciate the confidence you have in me. What I am going to say about it is this, I am also new to Cochins. I just study, study, study.................... I look at pictures of winning birds on peoples websites, I have a subscription to a newspaper called the poultry press, and read, read, read the breed standards. Ray also has some nice birds too! Tonight is candle time, I hope there is good news, all the air cells appear to be intact!!!!!!!

Thanks Heather. I have had so many setbacks this year, I have high hopes for these cochins.

On a sadder note... I just flipping dropped on of Tara's eggs!!! ARGH!

Raspberries plant them outside, I think it's still warm enough. The strawberry starts...I think you can put them in wet straw in the basement till spring.....but don't quote me.
